The Stationhouse is a former Canadian Pacific Railway Station nestled in the quiet country-side just outside the Village of Kleefeld, in Southeastern Manitoba. The village of Kleefeld is a 50 minute drive to downtown Winnipeg, 50 minutes to U.S. border and only 15 minutes to Steinbach.
We invite you to step back in time and surround yourself in the atmosphere of our rail heritage. Curl up beside the open stone fireplace and immerse yourself in the many books and photo albums available on the history of Canadian railroading. Or ask your host to let you play the part of an engineer and run trains on the large 11'x20' model railroad.
The entire 2nd floor is reserved for guests; with three comfortable bedrooms and a shared, spacious (full) bathroom - complete with its own balcony. The large waiting room (living room) is available for the guests to socialize, use the T.V. and VCR, play board games or the piano.
The Stationhouse, originally built in 1927 to service the town of Dominion City, was moved to Kleefeld in 1973. It is now situated on a secluded, well-treed, 5-acre property which is a haven for a variety of wildlife. It is becoming known as a get-away for honeymooners or just a retreat to relax and calm the soul.
